I've been surrounded by quilts for all of my life.
My mother, grandmothers, great grandmothers and aunts are all quilters. I paid little attention to this until in my late teens. When my mother opened her quilt shop - I found fabric.
The colours - the prints - the designs - the patterns ... I saw them all and I knew I needed to create my own little pieces of art.
And I did. I started sewing - teaching myself with books; patterns; and of course family resources.
Fast forward a number of years and a quilt pattern catches my eyes ... the star spin quilt or spinning star quilt. Not a new quilt - but definietly a beautiful one.
I took a class at a local quilt shop offering this quilt. And since that point I haven't been able to stop!
All of the pieces of fabric art that I have made will be posted here ... please enjoy!
